UPCOMING EVENTS

27th May - Wai iti club day. Double points for surfcasting. Start from 7am, weigh in at 1pm. Lunch will be a bbq or at the cafe at Wai iti.

10th June - North or south day. Depending on the weather we will head north to Rapanui or south to Ohawe. More details to come.

 The date for the 2013 Taranaki Kayak Fishing Classic has
 been confirmed, book in the weekend of 2nd & 3rd of March 2013
Welcome to the site of the Oakura Surfcasting & Kayak
Fishing Club.



The aim is to encourage a social and fun fishing club for
surfcasters and  kayak fishermen and to promote these sports in a positive way. The club actively runs events such as fishing competitions, club days and social activities. We 
are also the host of the Taranaki Kayak Fishing Classic
http://www.kayakfishingclassic.co.nz/ , the biggest kayak 
fishing competition in NZ. Next year the comp will be held the weekend of the  2nd and 3rd March 2013. Check
out the photos page for a taste of the kind of  fish you can expect fishing the Taranaki area.
